SALE AND CONVERSION OF THE VEHICLE (FORD TRANSIT)
1.1 Exclusivity of the Ford Transit Chassis
The Workshop specializes exclusively in outfitting Ford Transit vehicles.
- Mechanical responsibility : The base motor vehicle (chassis, engine, drivetrain, original electronic systems) remains under the sole responsibility and warranty of the manufacturer, Ford.
- The Workshop cannot be held responsible for mechanical failures, Ford manufacturer recalls, or powertrain defects.
1.2 Payment Structure and Financial Schedule
In accordance with the Workshop’s service agreements, the payment process is strictly divided as follows :
- Initial deposit : A fixed, non-refundable amount of 5 000 $ is required to officially begin the van design and planning process.
- Quotation signature : A payment equal to 50 % of the total contract amount is required within seven (7) days following approval of the contract. If this payment is not received within the prescribed timeframe, EazyVans reserves the right to postpone the work.
- By signing the design contract, the Client confirms that, unless otherwise advised in writing, the approved design and choices are final. Any subsequent modifications may result in additional fees and delays, which shall be the sole responsibility of the Client.
- Final balance : The full balance of the contract is payable upon delivery of the vehicle. No vehicle will be released or delivered until full payment has been received and validated.
1.3 Conversion Warranties
- Conversion components and labour : Full details regarding coverage of the van conversion are governed by adocument de garantie distinct, provided to the Client when the design quotation is signed.
1.4 Compliance, Weight and SAAQ Certification
- Vehicle weight : The conversion complies with the payload capacity established by Ford. The Workshop is not responsible if the Client overloads the vehicle beyond legal limits after delivery.
- Status change (SAAQ) : The Workshop provides invoices and documents for the process of changing the vehicle status to “motor home” with the SAAQ. Inspection or engineering fees, if required, are the Client’s responsibility.
ACCESSORIES PURCHASED ONLINE (NOT INSTALLED)
This section governs the sale of parts ordered from our online store and picked up or delivered without installation by our workshop.
2.1 No Installation Warranty and Liability
- The Client acknowledges that they are purchasing parts for self-installation (DIY).
- The Workshop provides no free remote technical support for installation and no customized installation plans, unless explicitly stated on the product.
- Exclusion of liability : The Workshop disclaims any responsibility for injuries, property damage to the vehicle (e.g., water infiltration due to improper cutting of a roof window), or the Client’s failure to comply with electrical/gas standards.
2.2 Return Policy and Restocking Fees
- Time limit : Unopened items in their original packaging may be returned within 30 days of the purchase date for a refund.
- Restocking fees : A 15 % restocking fee will automatically be deducted from the refund to cover handling and verification of technical conversion parts.
- Non-returnable items : Electrical wires cut to length, electronic components (unboxed inverters, solar modules), and custom special orders are neither exchangeable nor refundable.
2.3 Warranty for Online Products
- Parts manufactured by EazyVans : Even when purchased online and installed by the Client, parts manufactured by EazyVans retain their one (1) year warranty for normal use. However, the warranty is immediately void if the breakage is caused by improper installation or a handling error by the Client.
- Third-party parts : The warranty for other parts sold online is limited to the warranty offered by the product’s original manufacturer.
GENERAL CLAUSES AND DISPUTES
3.1 Force Majeure and Delivery Timelines
Delivery timelines for the conversion are provided for informational purposes only. The Workshop cannot be held responsible for delays caused by supply chain disruptions (e.g., delayed delivery of the chassis by the Ford dealer or a shortage of components).
3.2 Responsibilities
The outfitter undertakes to carry out the work with care and professionalism. However, it shall not be held responsible for defects or delays caused by third-party suppliers or by improper use of the vehicle by the Client.
3.3 Timeline
Timelines may vary depending on the receipt of materials and unforeseen technical issues. The Workshop undertakes to inform the Client of any significant delay.
Please note that this contract is intended solely to present the design of the interior furniture of your van. For accessories and equipment, please refer to the quotation.
3.4 Governing Law
This contract is governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Quebec. Any dispute arising from this contract shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the judicial district of Bedford.
